Description (last modified by jjr8) (diff)

Recently I finally discovered a specific ArcGIS 9.2 / Python 2.5 compatibility problem: at least some of the 9.2 out-of-the-box geoprocessing tools that are implemented as Python scripts import the arcgisscripting module. All of these will fail on Python 2.5. The setup documentation should mention this.

Actually, the setup documention recommends that you stay with 2.4.1 unless you are an expert programmer. But we should update it to mention specifically that if you upgrade to Python 2.5, the out-of-the-box ArcGIS Python script tools will fail. I am changing this ticket's description accordingly.
