Sample Time Series Table tool fails because it cannot delete a table view

The problem is that ArcGIS 9.2 no longer allows table views to be deleted with the gp.Delete tool. You get this error message:

ERROR: Failed to execute. Parameters are not valid. 
ERROR: Input data element: Value is not valid. The value is not a Data Element. 
The value is not a Layer. 
ERROR: Failed to execute (Delete). 

I need to review all of the places that I use gp.Delete and special case them for ArcGIS 9.2. This is yet another weird ArcGIS bug (or perhaps it is a "feature").
